Widely referred to as the scion of the Ibru dynasty, Olorogun Oskar Ibru is also a socialite. One thing you can’t take away from the children and grandchildren of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. I. Ajumogobia, parents of a former Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Odein Ajumogobia, is their love for music.

Every year, since 2006, they have staged an annual Christmas concert in their memory. As in all previous years, it largely revolves around musical performances by members of the extended Ajumogobia family and reflects their late parents’ appreciation for a wide variety of music including instrumentals, classical, choral, highlife, jazz and traditional folk music.

However, what is striking is the dexterity with which each member of the family, headed by the former Attorney-General of Rivers State, Odein Ajumogobia SAN, who plays the piano among other instruments. His kids, Feni, Soemineta, Awune and Otokini, are also not left out in this rare display of musical talent.
