Femi Pedro grooves

Former Lagos State deputy governor, Femi Pedro, has never made the list of celebrity revellers. Though the lavish wedding of Bode, his son, to former Uche Eze, who runs the Bellanaija blog, was much talked about, the Pedros remain in their cocoons.

Surprisingly, he was spotted at a widely-publicised wedding recently. Dressed in a white agbada attire and a pink cap, he walked into the venue of the party quietly. But as soon as he was spotted by friends and associates, his table became a mecca of sort.

She is the executive director, Polo, a luxury lifestyle store in Lagos. Spotted at the O.R Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, South Africa last Thursday, she caused a stir! Dressed in a pair of floral culottes pant, a sexy blue sleeveless top and the limited edition of Louis Vuitton travel bags and accessories, Jennifer Obayuwana really knows how to lap up attention. Her long blonde hair, which sprawled on her shoulders, stood out too. Indeed, John Obayuwana’s daughter understands what time it is in the world of fashion.

When asked by S.P.I.C.E correspondent what she was doing in South Africa, the mother of one said it was a business trip as she was invited to deliver a lecture to a group of executives in Johannesburg. In her 30s, not many knew this side of the fashion enthusiast who adorns designer labels and never in need of luxury items. Though said to be in a chummy relationship with a man whose picture she posted pictures on her Instagram account, she was at the airport alone and elegantly strolled to settle down in the business class compartment of the South African Airways.

It is no longer news that the deceased Managing Director, GT Bank, Tayo Aderinokun, was married to two women—Olufunlola and Salamatu. This became general knowledge during his funeral in 2011 and the no love lost situation that exists between both women was quite visible during the funeral ceremonies.

Both women, who incidentally do not court the limelight, zeroed out of view after the funeral and nothing has been heard from them. A few weeks ago, Olufunlola, the eldest wife, who bore Aderinokun three children, made an appearance at Terrakulture’s anniversary celebration where her husband was also celebrated.

He does not have any tendency for undue publicity. Young and brainy, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin represents the Kiru/Bebeji Federal constituency, Kano State, at the House of Representatives. Also, the chairman, House committee on finance, he is in a jolly mood currently. Penultimate week, he pulled all the stops in Kebbi State and Abuja when he married former Maryam Augie.

Before noon, guests, who were mostly celebrities, thronged the Emir’s palace in Argungu, Kebbi State to witness the first leg of the wedding. For Justice Amina Augie, the bride’s mother, it was a twin celebration because the wedding day was also Maryam’s birthday.

A dinner was held later in Abuja where politicians, captains of industry and friends of the couple were treated to a sumptuous feast. It almost turned a carnival of sort with the performance of comedians and artistes which included Banky W and Waje.

A black-tie party is said to be coming up in December in Abuja. The couple, who attended Ivy-league schools, is honeymooning currently but the wedding will be much-talked-about for a while on the social radar.

Celebrated fashion designer, Clement Mudiaga Enajemo, popularly known as Mudi, leaves no one in doubt that he is a man of style who loves to set the pace in his industry.

An accomplished designer of no mean status, Mudi’s stylish disposition is not limited to his taste in clothes, accessories and automobiles. He recently left many awe struck following the debut of his new television commercial that is currently being broadcast on major television stations. Mudi raised the bar yet again via the TV commercial. Not only did he feature A-list models, he chose to differ by employing the use of private jets. While speculation arose that the designer, who owns a 1957 vintage Mercedes Benz which costs several millions of naira, owns one of the private jets, the reality is that the jets are owned by some of his close friends who loaned it to him for the purpose of shooting the TV commercial.

She is the First Lady, Anambra State. One of the prettiest governors’ wives in the east, Ebelechukwu Obiano has not been having a jolly time in the media lately. First, it started with her alleged rift with Hon. Uche Ekwunife. The news went viral online. Just as the buxom First Lady was heaving a sigh of relief from that episode, another piece of news emanated last week. It was alleged that she slapped the wife of the state’s Deputy Governor, Oby Okeke, at a social function in Akwa, Anambra State. This went viral again.

But with the press statement issued from the office of the wife of the Deputy Governor, which refuted any form of rancour between the two women, not a few friends and associates are praying for a hitch-free tenure for Ebele Obiano. She is said to go about her duties in and outside of the state in high spirits. Sighted recently at a function in Onitsha, she was dressed to the nines and her skin glowed.
