Today is a special day in the life of the Lagos State Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr. Wale Ahmed. Unknown to most people, the good-looking member of the executive arm of the Lagos State Government, clocked 50 today.
Fondly called Mr. Emergency and a medical doctor by training, he delved into politics in 1999 when he was elected a legislator. He represented the Agege Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly. He was also the publicity secretary of the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party and only defected to the Action Congress of Nigeria in 2011.
Currently on pilgrimage to Mecca, he is believed to be putting together a grand party to celebrate his birthday before May 29, 2015.
Asides that, Ahmed, who is not known to do things in half measures, is also said to be having a book launch that would highlight his years of service as an expert on emergency management and public safety.
