In her 30s, Omosede Igbinedion, is one of the children of billionaire businessman and Esama of Benin, Sir Gabriel Igbinedion and his Jamaican-born wife, Lady Cherry.
A mother of one, not many will forget in a hurry her celebrated marriage and subsequent separation from her husband and Benin- born Prince Aven Akenzua. Aven, is a son to Enogie Uyieken Akenzua, the younger brother of the Oba of Benin, His Royal Highness, Omo N’ Oba Erediauwa.
The ceremonies commemorating their union, was held amid pomp on December 31, 2008 and January 5, 2009. Regrettably, the couple called it quits barely two years after they were pronounced man and wife.
While Aven has lived a low-profile life since their separation, the same cannot be said of Omosede who ventured into politics. She contested for and won a seat in the House of Representatives during the last National Assembly elections. She will represent Ovia Federal Constituency
Since winning, she has not ceased to describe herself as the youngest legislator from Edo State. She is currently holidaying in the United Kingdom with her son, Alexander.
