Bolatito Ladoja and Bez Idakula
The cross-cultural union between soul singer, Bez Idakula, and Bolatito Ladoja will go down in history as one of the most celebrated weddings in 2014. The bride is one of the daughters of former governor of Oyo State, Rasheed Ladoja. The first celebrity wedding of 2014, the duo was pronounced man and wife at the Guiding Light Assembly, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos. Guests were later treated to a lavish reception at Landmark event centre.
Koko Ita-Giwa and Chimaobi Obioha
It was a unique September wedding. It was Senator Florence Ita-Giwa’s turn to usher her daughter into matrimony. In her early 20s, Koko got married to Chimaobi Obioha, the eldest son of foremost Igbo billionaire, Chief Moore Obioha.
An evening wedding, it had in attendance the crème of society who bore testimony to Senator Ita Giwa’s social clout. The couple were joined together at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina. The reception party was at Eko Hotel and Suites.
Olajuwon Abdul-Azeez and Adejoke Ogedengbe
It was the most talked-about wedding. A no-expense-spared ceremony, Lagos socialite, Shade Alesh, proved that she was the one to beat in staging high-octane shindigs. The wedding of her son, Olajuwon Abdul-Azeez, and his bride, Adejoke, shook Lagos. It was, indeed, a fusion of influence and affluence, as the bride is also the daughter of Moroophat Kalejaiye a prominent Lagos fabric merchant and a very good friend of Alesh. The star-studded wedding, which attracted the top echelon of the society and artistes alike, had the trappings of a world-class event.
