Lagos State governorship aspirant and Managing Director of DHB Construction Ltd, Hakeem Alobo-Bakare, was 56 last Wednesday.
Unlike previous years when he rolled out the drums and celebrated in no small measure with family and friends, this year, the socialite turned politician shunned any form of celebration.
It was said he refused to celebrate in line with the nation’s sombre mood, particularly the abduction of over 200 girls by Boko Haram.
