These are definitely not the best of times for the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Professor Modupe Adelabu. While preparations for the forthcoming election in the Kayode Fayemi-led state have reached a feverish crescendo, Adelabu is in a sombre mood.
A former lecturer at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Adelabu has been crestfallen since she received the news of the untimely demise of her son-in-law, Dr. Seun Fasawe, penultimate Thursday in a hospital in London. The deceased, who was famed in the medical and social circles, was married to Dolapo, Adelabu’s first daughter. He was the Managing Director, Silver River Healthcare Nigeria Limited.
Dolapo, also a medical practitioner, plies her trade with the Lagos State Ministry of Health. She is also the coordinator of Eko Free Health Mission. Their marriage was blessed with two kids.
