Etisalat’s night for heroes

It was a night of glitz, glamour and fun. Tagged, Etisalat Heroes Awards, it was organised by the telecommunications firm to reward its customers. After a welcome address from the CEO, Steven Evans, the national anthem was rendered by the Joe Blue and Mercy, winners of the Nigerian Idol Season 3. A fashion show followed suit and it featured indigenous designers’ works. There was an injection of comedy and later, star artiste, Olamide performed. After the first category of awards, many guests stood in awe at the dexterity of an American artist, whose painting on an oil canvas of Michael Jackson was done in less than 10 minutes.
Another performance from diva, Omawunmi, electrified the hall. Just as guests prepared to leave, Mr. Flavour, also a highlife artiste, stormed the stage.
