For the publisher of Vanguard Newspapers, Sam Amuka, last weekend would go down in history as one of his life’s best moments. Indeed, high society stood still when he hosted a carnival-like wedding for his son, Tuoyo, who married former Miss Oladepe Funmi-Adeshina. The church service was at Yaba Baptist Church, Lagos and guests were later hosted to a lavish reception at the Haven Events Centre, Ikeja.
The turquoise and silver-themed wedding, had in attendance, governors Ibikunle Amosun, Raji Fashola and Emmanuel Uduaghan of Ogun, Lagos and Delta states respectively. Among other dignitaries were a former chairman of Punch Nigeria Limited, Chief Ajibola Ogunshola; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Chief Nike Akande; Chief John Odeyemi; Mrs. Maiden Ibru; Mr. Tunde Savage and Chief Rasaq Okoya and wife, Sade.
