The chairman of Daar Communications, Raymond Dokpesi, has a son in whom he is well pleased. Incidentally, they bear the same name and for the purpose of this write-up, we will refer to him as Junior.
An executive director at Daar Communications, his fairytale wedding to Doyin Karunwi in 2009 was one of the most reported that year. Early this year, he was conferred with a chieftaincy title in Edo state. Both events attracted the presence of dignitaries from far and near, who trooped out in great numbers to felicitate with him. In Abuja, where he resides, he is very popular on the social scene and constitutes what has now come to be known as the upwardly mobile crowd. Junior’s wife, Doyin, is not lagging behind either.
