During her tenure as the Head of service of the federation, Ms. Ama Pepple’s humility endeared her to not a few people. In her 60’s, the Bonny, Rivers State-born Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development since assuming the exalted post has maintained an unusual meekness many of her ilk lack in large proportion.
Aside her calm nature, Pepple, who can be said to be aging gracefully, maintains a remarkable simplicity in her choice of attire and accessories. Her preference for local fabrics can only be rivalled by a few in the federal cabinet. Those who are conversant with the ways of this retired civil servant, however, insist she is firm in the discharge of her duties.
