During last general elections in 2011, Dr. Ade Dosunmu was one of those who rose to prominence. The former Director-General of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency gave the Governor of Lagos state, Raji Fashola, a good fight for the state house.
Indeed Dosunmu’s popularity soared during the build up to the elections. This remained the case, albeit temporarily, because soon after the elections were concluded, the PDP governorship candidate, who lost the keenly contested polls, seems to have withdrawn from the social firmament without warning.
